Catering is provided for the Academy by ‘Vertas‘

Cashless catering

The Academy uses a cashless system (run by ‘iPayImpact’) for all purchases at the canteen (and for trips/visits, workshops, equipment and other ‘chargeable’ activities and items.) At the point of payment the student enters a PIN and, once successfully verified by the Catering Point of Sale Operator, their account is debited.

All students will be set up with a cashless account (for parents to access to pay/top up credit) and a PIN (to use at the canteen to pay for food/drink items purchased) when they start at the Academy.

Funds must be added to student accounts online; you can access this via the Cashless Payment Website, using the login details sent to you when your child joined the Academy.  If you are unable to log on to your child’s account, or have a query in relation to it, please contact Mrs N Logan , our Director of Finance, who will endeavour to assist you.

To pay for a trip/activity for your child, you will use the same account, selecting the specific item from the list of payable items listed as options for him/her.

Students are very welcome to bring their own packed lunches to eat in one of the dining rooms at either break or lunchtime.

We encourage students to eat a healthy diet and bring to the Academy snacks and food that fit in with healthy eating guidelines. For example, drinking water, and eating fruit as snacks at break time. Packed lunches should be wholesome and avoid too many foods with high fat, salt, and sugar content. For this reason, energy drinks and any other canned drinks are banned, and for the safety and wellbeing of staff and students with allergies, nuts are also banned from being brought on site.
