As part of our continuing work as one of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Lead Associate Schools, I am delighted to announce that our Shakespeare Ambassadors have been invited to take part in the 2025 Regional Playmaking Festival.
This year, our Theatre Company—made up of 18 Shakespeare Ambassadors—will work collaboratively to rehearse and perform an abridged extract from King Lear. Their performance will take place at the Mercury Theatre in Colchester on the evening of Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th June, as part of the RSC’s prestigious Regional Playmaking Festival.
The festival brings together young people from across the region to showcase their talents as emerging performers. Participants will have the unique opportunity to perform on a professional stage, supported by RSC actors and directors, and to work alongside staff from the Mercury Theatre
