Kernos Centre- Community Walk
Mental Health Awareness Week โ Breakfast Stroll & Cuppa
Tuesday 12th May 2026 – 9.30am – 11.30am
Members of the Kernos team would like to invite you to join us for a relaxed Breakfast Stroll and Cuppa in support of Mental Health Awareness Week.
This is a gentle, informal walk through the beautiful Sudbury Water Meadows – no agenda, no structure, just an opportunity to be outdoors, enjoy some fresh air, have a chat, and connect with others at a calm, easy pace.
Weโll then finish with free breakfast tea, kindly provided by Painters at the Angel Sudbury, in their lovely garden.
Meeting point: Kingfisher Leisure Centre
Time: Meet at 9:30am, departing promptly
Walk: Casual stroll through the water meadows
Finish: Arrive at Painters at the Angel for around 10:30am
Please bring a bottle of water with you to stay hydrated, and wear suitable clothing and footwear for walking outdoors.
Please note: Dogs are not able to attend this walk.
f youโd prefer, youโre very welcome to join just part of the walk or simply come along for a cuppa.
This is not a counselling session, but a simple, friendly way to raise awareness for mental health, meet new people, and enjoy our lovely surroundings together.
Weather note: This is an outdoor event. In the case of very poor weather/torrential rain, the walk may be adjusted, delayed or cancelled. Any updates will be posted on Facebook in advance where possible.
Photos: We may take photographs during the event for awareness and promotional purposes. If you would prefer not to appear in any photos, please let a member of the Kernos team know on the day.
Please note: This is a free, informal community walk. Participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety and wellbeing.
Weโd love to see you there ![]()
