GCSE results proudly collected by students at Ormiston Sudbury Academy

Our Year 11 students are celebrating today as they receive their GCSE and BTEC results and prepare for the future.

The school is celebrating the achievements of its students, who have shown commitment and ambition throughout their studies and are now preparing to take their next steps in education, training or employment.

This year’s cohort achieved an impressive proportion of top grades, achieving three times as many grade 9s as last year. Some impressive achievements include:

  • Michaela who achieved a grade 9 or Distinction* in every subject.
  • Alice who received a grade 7 or above in eight subjects, including four grade 9s.
  • Amy and Rose who secured a grade 7 or above, or Distinction grades, across eight subjects.
  • Reuben, Eleanor, Seb and Oscar who achieved grades 7-9 in seven subjects.

Sally Morris, Principal at Ormiston Sudbury Academy, said:

“Today is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our Year 11 students and everything they have accomplished. They have shown real ambition and resilience throughout, and we are delighted to see their hard work rewarded with today’s results.

“I would like to thank our dedicated staff and our families, whose encouragement and support have helped our students every step of the way. As they move on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships and employment, we know they will approach the future with confidence and ambition. We wish them every success and look forward to seeing all they go on to achieve.”
